The Green Paw Rescue is a non for profit animal rescue organization that was founded in 2016 to help homeless pets in the Saint Louis community area. We specialize in cats that have been trapped in local animal controls for long periods of time that have little hope of getting adopted before they are euthanized. We can also help you find a pet dog from a local animal control if you need assistance. Paul Scimone (founder) is a veterinary technician and an animal behaviorist, and he will gladly assist you.
The Green Paw also helps with elderly or disabled individuals that have been put into assisted living and can no longer care for their cats, as well as assisting with disaster relief for areas that have been compromised by floods and tornadoes.
We do not accept owner surrenders, but if you feel you fall into the category of someone who needs help with rehoming or caring for your cat, please send us a detailed email to thecheshiregrincatcafe@gmail.com. Please include any medical documentation and history with your request, as cats that are fully vetted and up to date on their vaccines will be priority on the rescue list.
Additionally, If you would like to become a foster for the Cheshire Grin Cat Cafe, please reach out to us! We always need good foster households for kittens and cats that can't live in the cafe immediately. Thank you for your support!
When you donate to our charity you are contributing to the rescue and care of the cats at the Cheshire Grin Cat Cafe and beyond. We do several rescue related functions in our community. All proceeds from the cat cafe also go directly to the Green Paw Rescue that go to helping cats that are needing medical, food and homes.
